Saddle up!
I think sometimes a bike is a piece of art. This beautiful bike is made even more stunning by its handmade saddle, created by Hannah at London based Grafton Saddler. Hannah designs, hand cuts, dyes, punches, and stitches every saddle she makes.
This one sits on top of a Festka Scalatore, made for a local customer. The Scalatore is a mountain bike, made by the amazing Czech brand. You can read more about Festka at our Bikes page, as they are one of our selected brands here at The Bike Tailor.

Scalatore actually means ‘climber’ in Italian (not in Czech!) so we already have a clue as to the nature of this brilliant frame. It’s lightweight, has great stiffness, and is aerodynamic. Its strength comes from the carbon fibres which allow for stronger and faster climbs.
Janek Jaros from cyclingweekly.com says: “The Festka Scalatore made me feel like I could achieve anything I wanted. It was as if it gave me a superpower.”
Wow, that’s a pretty big claim.
Another great feature of this bike is the SRAM RED eTap AXS – allowing you to change gear at the push of a button. It’s waterproof, keeps your chain secure and quiet, it can be personalised, and it gives you loads of options.
And finally, paired with the always-reliable Enve wheels and Chris King hubs, well, you have one hell of a machine.
