The Limited Edition Golden Mosaic RT-1

The most recent bespoke bike we have built is this stunning, one off limited edition, golden mosaic RT-1. Now these framesets are all ready a thing of beauty from the super neat welds, double butted titanium tubing and the tidy internal cable routing for the brake. However we went above and beyond for this one, we specified that this be designed with wireless transmission in mind and therefore it has absolutely no gear cable routing and no holes in the down tube giving it a real sleek look. Once we received the frame and fork from Mosaic Cycles over in Boulder, Colorado we sent it over to our incredibly talented paint sprayer here in Brighton to work his magic. After a week or two of trying a few designs he brought it back to us like this and it is quite possibly one of the best spray jobs i have seen, the gold with the red pearlescent, bold logos and mind blowing smooth gold leaf effect.

Finally the time to actually build it came and we did not hold back on the components this time, starting with the transmission we have Sram RED E-Tap which is their state of the art carbon wireless electric groupset, benefits of this include effortless consistent shifting and extremely simple setup. For the wheels we used Reynolds RZR 46SLG, these are full carbon, fast rolling and incredibly light. For the pair they come in at an amazing 980grams! The seat post, saddle, stem, bars and bartape are all the best fizik have to offer. The forks are envee’s carbon fork to fit. For stopping power we went for TRP’s magnesium road brake to save as much weight as possible, one nice thing to note is despite the fact they are light they have really nice performance.

The rubber is continentals fast rolling tubs. to top it all of we went with chris kings famous headset and bottom bracket to finish of what is possibly the most stylish and lightest bike we have built in a long time coming in at a mere 6.5 kilos, for a metal frame that is phenomenal.
