This guarantees a strong, durable bike that provides a smooth and comfortable ride for many years.

The Features That Set These Bikes Apart

One of the key features of custom Dario Pegoretti bikes by The Bike Tailor is the innovative geometry. The bikes are designed with the rider in mind, ensuring that they are comfortable, responsive, and easy to handle. The bikes are also lightweight, making them easy to manoeuvre, even on the toughest terrain.

But the most unique feature of a Bike Tailor Dario Pegoretti cycle is the scope for customisation. Each bike is built to your specifications, ensuring that the bike is perfectly suited to your needs. This includes everything from the size of the frame to the hand-picked components used.

pegoretti ROUND

Pegoretti’s latest frame has its origins in discussions over long lunches in the Bottega. (And, according to legend, even longer negotiations by the espresso machine about its position in the Pegoretti line-up.)

Leading up to Round’s conception, the Pegoretti community had been asking the brand to take the extraordinary performance of their Mxxxxxo model and develop a new one in stainless steel. The answer was Round: a wonderfully responsive steel frame, giving the rider a no-holds-barred speed machine.

The Round model blends custom-made Columbus XCR tubing with 3D printed stainless steel dropouts (a first for a Pegoretti model), plus a new rear triangle and brake bridge design, providing you with high performing lateral stiffness and responsiveness.

Named after the sign-off handle for which company founder, Dario Pegoretti was known, Round includes an original visual called ‘Texas Flood’. It was inspired by Dario’s ‘love for the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan, the city of Austin, Texas and a certain colourful cowboy belt brought back from that same city’. (What a guy.)

pegoretti RESPONSORIUM

Shown below with the optional Ciavete ‘surprise me’ scheme, the ‘Respo’ is one of Pegoretti’s most popular frames because it does so many things well. It’s speedy, supremely comfortable and, thanks to its stainless-steel production, it has become a natural choice for riders who love a challenging terrain.

The Responsorium crosses custom drawn Columbus XCR steel with Pegoretti signature hooded dropouts and 16mm cylindrical non-tapering stays. Together with its thin walls and extensive butting, the Responsorium provides a tad more vertical submission than Pegoretti’s other frames, making it a brilliant option if you’re facing long days in the saddle.

Fun fact for Pegoretti fans: the Responsorium is named after an album by Argentine musician, Dino Saluzzi.

pegoretti BIG LEG EMMA

Shown here with the optional Ciavete ‘surprise me’ scheme, the amazingly named Big Leg Emma is at the extreme end of the spectrum of stiffness and receptiveness. This frame has the same front triangle of Pegoretti’s Mxxxxxo, except it comprises reinforcing plates brazed inside the downtube for added stiffness. The chainstays are enormous (which, as well as the Frank Zappa song, is what gave this model its name) and they create an astonishingly stiff frame while retaining great comfort. This frame is perfect for large, strong riders and is especially great for riders who love to sprint.
