Mosaic Bikes – The Attention to Detail

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Mosaic has a global reputation for attention to detail and quality craftsmanship – each frame is built by hand, meaning you really do get the only one of its kind. The company was born out of a desire to see a bike as more than just a bike – they believe it should be a form of self-expression, personal success, and years of enjoyable rides. Founder Aaron Barcheck is a Master Builder wedded to making his vision relevant to a new generation of riders.

Mosaic bikes contain only the highest quality materials, including titanium, steel, and carbon fibre, to ensure a ride that is both comfortable and efficient. They also offer a range of finishes, from classic paint jobs to hand-etched designs, so each bike is an actual work of art.

The Customisation Process

When the Bike Tailor and Mosaic collaborate on your bike, the process starts with a conversation to determine your riding style and preferences – our team then applies expertise in bike fitting to source the perfect components and make them fit like a glove, while Mosaic begins building the frame by hand. The frame is sent from the US to Brighton, where the Bike Tailor assembles the bike, ensuring that every component is perfectly tuned to your needs.

MOSAIC GT-1

When it comes to the whole the gamut of gravel bikes, the GT-1 is more of a road bike than an adventure bike. Its geometry falls between classic road and off-road frame specs; it has short chainstay length, a steep front head angle, an oversized head tube, and a carbon fork. This mix gives rise to a snappy feel, with low bottom brackets, and a longer wheelbase. All of which provides a stable off-road handling. Built on a flat mount disc brake platform for a versatile stopping force on any terrain, it also gives clearance for a 38c tire. The 3/2.5 double butted tubeset can take the battering of riding all year in any weather without worry of decay or denting. Smaller diameter tubes are selected according to rider mass, providing a more accommodating ride. Compared to the outsized and reactive X or R-Series tubes that lean toward race performance, the GT-1 provides a different kind of performance: one of comfort, endurance, and functionality. Optional fender and rack mounts make the GT-1 the bike for all-weather riding.
