WHY SHOULD I GET A ROAD BIKE FITTING

A good road bike fit is important for everyone – and especially important if you’re new to cycling (Bicycling.com). If you’ve just bought yourself a cool new road bike or are heading back out after a break, now’s the time to get yourself a great road bike fit.

It’s not just about your performance, power or speed. It’s got to be comfortable. Road cycling can be anything from gliding on smooth tarmac to tackling bumpy, gravelly tracks. Getting your bike to become an extension of you will mean you can ride further and happier.

THE ROAD BIKE SET UP

It’s as important as buying your new road bike in the first place: get your set up correct now and it will pay off for you in the future. Making your bike comfortable is about focusing on the areas where your body meets the bike and the parts in between, such as knee pressure and torso position.

At The Bike Tailor we have years of experience – and a lot of enthusiasm – which we will use along with our professional software to spot pinch points and potential problems.

IS ROAD BIKE FITTING WORTH IT?

You’ll probably have guessed by now that yes, we think a good road bike fit is worth it! There’s a lot of advice out there but nothing can compare to a professional taking your unique measurements and fitting the road bike to your requirements. Even after your first fit, so much can change after suffering injuries, having a baby or simply ageing. So we recommend getting a fit done every couple of years.

THE BIKE TAILOR ROAD BIKE SET UP?
