PARLEE CYCLES

INNOVATE WITH PURPOSE

Ever since they pioneered the first fully customizable carbon-fiber road racing frames more than 15 years ago, Parlee has been pushing the envelope with breakthrough designs. They never bother chasing trends. Instead, pursuing real innovations that improve the ride quality and performance

Beyond their well-known achievements in custom geometry, Parlee was also first to create a sub-900 gram carbon fiber road frame. A few years later they broke the 800-gram barrier. Along the way, their designs have been recognised with major accolades including Bicycling Magazine’s Editors’ Choice, Race Bike of the Year (Cycling Weekly) and Eurobike Design awards.

They’ve made their mark by following their own path. Their progress is measured and evolution organic. Every new Parlee bike builds on the success of its predecessor. They don’t change for change’s sake, and they are not interested in superfluous styling. Massive downtubes and box-shaped bottom brackets might make for good sales fodder, but they choose to avoid trendy marketing features that only add bulk without improving the ride quality. At Parlee, the focus never strays. They constantly engineer, test and refine every tube shape to meet specific goals. From ultra-light, super-stiff race bikes to silky smooth endurance, gravel or cyclocross machines, each one is purpose-built for a specific type of ride

At Parlee, our focus never strays. We constantly engineer, test and refine every tube shape to meet specific goals. From ultra-light, super-stiff race bikes to silky smooth endurance, gravel or cyclocross machines, each one is purpose-built for a specific type of ride.

ALTUM DISC

One of the biggest game changers that road riders have seen in the past few years is the emergence of disc brake technologies. The new Altum DISC is engineered specifically for disc brake use with some key frame and fork designs that allow for seamless integration. The frame features the same engineering, design, and geometry as the other Altum models, but with a modular rear dropout that accepts QR135 or thru-axle 142mm wheels. Up front, it has a specially built fork designed for the greater braking forces of the new flat-mount disc brakes. It features a 12mm thru axle design for added stiffness and steering precision. The frame and fork are fully compatible with mechanical or hydraulic braking systems and various rotor sizes (140-160mm) for added versatility and upgrade options. For adventurous riders who love to tackle unpredictable roads and all kinds of weather, the Altum DISC delivers a new level of performance.

PARLEE Z-ZERO

Disc and calliper options

LATEST BENCHMARK: Z-ZERO

In an industry where three years is considered the normal lifespan of a bicycle design, the Z1 has stood alone. A design so advanced that it still continues to be a benchmark, not just for customisable carbon bikes, but also a true reference point for all road bikes with performance aspirations.

For over a decade Parlee have relentlessly refined and perfected the Z1, to keep it compatible with the latest components and performance needs.

This begs the question: why introduce the Z-Zero?

There have been several technical developments in their stock bikes the past three years that have allowed an increase in performance and reduction in weight but without compromise, comfort or durability. Most of these innovations now found in the Z5i and Z5SLi were thought too difficult or expensive to feature in a customisable design but the Z-Zero eliminates any semblance of compromise.

The Z-Zero includes all the modern performance features of a cutting-edge race bike with the ride tuning and custom fit originally only available in the Z1.

Unlike 99.9% of modern road bikes, the Z-Zero is 100% made to order, with the optimum performance characteristics and technical requirements perfectly met for each individual rider.

Available in 16 effective semi-custom sizes and full custom geometry, the Z-Zero simply fits a wider range of athletes than any other carbon road design.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

PARLEE tube joining process: Pioneered on the Z1, their exclusive moulding process is the technical benchmark for fusing carbon fibre tubes into a monolithic structure. Our process is neither “lugged” or traditional “tube to tube” construction. The Z-Zero joining process is more precise, more costly, and unmatched in strength, using only carbon fiber to fuse each tube to another in a manner that yields a wholly unified structure with almost zero redundant material.

Carbon dropouts and bearing races: First used on the Z5, their compression moulded carbon drops and bearing races (in the head tube and bottom bracket) allow them to reduce the metal content in the Z-Zero to less than 20 grams. Eliminating metal correctly in any carbon composite structure translates to lighter weight and better durability.

Shaped, bladder-molded tubing: A technology first used in our Z5, the performance based shaping allows for lighter overall tube weights and optimized tuning of the laminate schedule. A variety of tube designs allows us to perfectly tune the ride to each riders needs. Produced by hand, by our staff, here in Beverly, MA, the Z-Zero tube set is 10-15% lighter on average than the already light Z1 (with better torsional performance).

Disc Brake compatibility: A new standard for the future, disc brakes for road bikes present a range of new options for brake, wheel and drive systems. The Z-Zero was designed from inception to be both caliper and disc brake capable.

PARLEE Z-ZERO XD

CUSTOM BUILT FOR ADVENTURE

Rather than follow the typical blueprint for a cyclocross bike, Parlee set out to create a premium ride experience with nearly unlimited versatility. The name speaks to the DNA of this bike, and also its expanded capabilities. Its siblings, the Z-Zero and Z-Zero Disc, are custom carbon-fibre road bikes that blend lightweight performance with made-to-order comfort and ride tuning. We started with that same precision engineering as the Z-Zero, then tweaked the geometry and added some features including disc brakes and extra clearance for tires up to 40mm wide.

The result is this: a 100-percent made-in-the-USA carbon fibre bicycle that lets you expand your riding possibilities with zero compromises in ride quality.

PARLEE CHEBACCO

ONE BIKE. ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES.

It’s inspired by a place where history runs deep. North of Boston, in the county now known as Essex, Chebacco Parish was one of the earliest European settlements in the mid-1600s. Today, centuries-old roads, paths and trails make it a perfect place for adventurous rides—if you have the right bike.

Meet the Chebacco. It’s at home wherever roads can get rough and rides turn into adventures. Gravel grinding, cyclocross racing, tackling a commute in the urban jungle. Now, for the first time, you can do all those things on one bike that delivers remarkable versatility plus the signature Parlee ride quality.

Rather than follow the traditional blueprint for a cyclocross bike, They set out to create a premium ride experience with nearly unlimited capabilities. With disc brakes, wide tire clearance (up to 40mm) and hidden fender mounts front and rear, this 100 percent carbon fiber frame that lets you expand your riding possibilities—while giving up nothing in terms of lightweight performance and ride quality.

The Chebacco shares the same DNA as Parlee road bikes such as the Z series and Altum models. The frame is handcrafted from the same carbon fiber materials, but with purpose-built geometry and design

Features include wider chainstays and seatstays. The bottom bracket is a bit lower than traditional Euro’ style cyclocross bikes, and the head tube angle a bit slacker. This gives the Chebacco a smooth, stable ride at speed, especially when you’re pounding through gravel, dirt or variable road surfaces.

The Chebacco’s rear brake hose is routed through the downtube and chainstay, allowing the rear disc brake caliper to be mounted inside the triangle. The rear dropouts are modular, compatible with either thru-axle or QR, and the frame also includes integrated fender mounts for a sleek setup in wet weather conditions.

PARLEE TTIR

POSITIVE FORCE.

The World’s fastest triathlon disc bike is ready to help you crush your next race. Here’s why: traditional rim brakes force you to brake early and lose speed in corners and descents, which hampers your performance. In a sport where speed is time and time is everything, disc brakes make the most sense. Now you can accelerate with confidence without performance losses common to rim brakes. It’s time to become a DISCiple.

BRAKE SMARTER. GO FASTER.

“Its simple: when you can brake smarter, you go faster,” explains Bob Parlee. “We’ve eliminated the significant drawbacks caused by rim braking, and designed a bicycle that helps riders accelerate faster and maintain their speed throughout any race. Wet-weather performance is also far superior.”

SPEED IS TIME-AND TIME IS EVERYTHING

Every centimeter of the new TTiR is designed to help you gain time on your competition. Aerodynamically integrated SpeedShield™ carbon fairings hide the flat-mount calipers and disc rotors from the wind without causing them to overheat. A Parlee-exclusive seat post design lets you adjust the seat up to seven degrees so you can dial in an optimal balance of comfort and power output. Our flex-fit modular cockpit also adapts to a wider range of positions as well. Plus, you’ll appreciate Parlee’s legendary road feel with every pedal stroke.

THROUGH-AXLES MEAN ADDED POWER AND SPEEDY WHEEL CHANGES.

The inclusion of industry-standard 12mm thru-axles front and rear adds two significant benefits. First, thru-axles boost lateral and torsional frame and fork stiffness, helping you deliver greater power transfer on climbs and sunstained high-wattage segments and also allow hold your line through corners. Secondly, Swapping training and race wheels is faster and easier because thru-axles guarantee perfect alignment of the disc brake rotors every single time with no rubbing.
